Last year our team started the tradition of an annual altitude camp in Colorado. For the past two years we have joined Lee's Summit West Girls and Raymore-Peculiar for a week long Colorado experience taking in the beauty of Colorado. Our trip includes daily running, a hike up a 14,000 foot mountain, as well as shopping and activities in various attractions throughout the Rockies. At the conclusion of the week, the teams line up for a 4.25 mile race at 4,100 feet elevation. I was extremely impressed by our athletes toughness and endurance in the race. Many of them pushed their limits and five athletes improved their times from last year!
